Students assemble & program their robots

The Robotics courses teach principles of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) as students design, build and program their own robots. In the course of fulfilling their natural curiosity about robotics they will also learn skills like collaboration, problem-solving, and divergent thinking.

 

Learning Outcomes

  • Think divergently and use creativity while building robots or electronic inventions

  • Brainstorm and collaborate with peers

  • Understand the essential parts and functions of different robots

LEGO WeDo

Suitable Ages:

LEGO WeDo - Educational tool by LEGO that introduces robotics to children, and familiarizes them with the control and programming of machines

 

Goals:

  • Identify, utilize and program the LEGO WeDo kit

  • Build a prototype robot and program it to solve a given problem using LEGO WeDo

Micro:bit

Suitable Ages:

6-13

Principal Tool:

Micro:bit - A tiny but versatile programmable microcontroller that makes learning how to set up and program automated machinery both easy and fun

 

Goals:

  • Code and program Micro:bit

  • Build an electronic invention and program it to solve a given problem using different materials and Micro:bit
